Fictiv State of Hardware Report

In 2017, Fictiv approached me to create their annual hardware report, a document that went out to their clients and available for tens of thousands of customers. The direction was simple: create a blueprinted theme that cut straight to the information at hand.

I went forth with developing icons, illustrations and a visual style that leaned into Fictiv’s brand mission with rapid-prototyping, including laser cutters, 3d Printers, and 5-axis CNC machines.

The process took place over several months, including additional edits to new surveys conducted, all while ensuring the infographics were ready for their year-end launch.

Staff and customers were pleased and engaged with the results. Fictiv saw a 20% increase in user downloads for the survey, and their blue-chip clients were equally impressed with the level of professionalism that came with the report.

The report also highlighted the need for more surveys with customers, as the additional comments to the report enticed further feedback than previous years from the audience. Turns out they were just as interested in collecting data as Fictiv was!
